Only gripe ive got is that bosses are allowed to be unhappy with room placement, forcing you to redo the rooms. Isnt this supposed to be wholly based on RNG? Its not like we have that much say in room placement, unless our timing is near god-like. That kinda upset me a bit, but other than that, really good and interesting game!

PestoForce responds:

It's just a clever way of saying that the layout produced an impossible scenario (like the locked treasure room is blocking your path to the boss) Glad you liked it overall!

Not too bad, though definitely room to work on stuff. I did come across a glitch though. As i was being beat up, just as my health bar reached 0 and I was about to fall, i let loose a fireball and then became invincible for the rest of the game. Might wanna fix that. Other than that, its an alright game

gameObject responds:

Thabks fpr your feedback! I am currently working on an update which will be ready in a few days,

A quick thinking reflexive game. These games are nice from time to time, especially if they have a good soundtrack in the back. Sound/music really makes all the difference in games like these, at least I think so. Got to 71 before I was crushed. Good game, keep it up

HybridMind responds:

Thanks, I tried to build the game's feeling, pacing and visuals around the song.

Man, you guys sure know how to create creepy characters. Fun game, addicting right from the start!

Evil-Dog responds:

SickDeathFiend did great with the character design :D
Thanks

I played the beta version, and im happy to see the completed result. Now for the review.
-Right off the bat, having to click signs to see them made me have to stop playing just so I could click on them. If you made it so you automatically read the sign as you past it, that wouldve made for smoother gameplay. Same with making the messages go away too
-There was a glitch in the first boss where i would sometimes get launched above the ceiling and i would have to walk all the way to the left or right to kill myself just to get back to where the boss was
-The scream for the final boss was a tad too loud for how many times he yelled. Wouldve been fine if he yelled like once or twice, but since he yelled every time you hit him, it got to be annoying, and I had to mute that part.
Overall, a simplistic, yet versatile game, both challenging and easy. A good time-waster. Kudos!

Kolumbo responds:

Thanks

Good game, love how you get to chain explosions, and then posses one of the exploded ships.
However, came across a bug. Not entirely sure what triggers it, seems to happen randomly. Sometimes when you go to explode yourself starting a chain reaction of explosions, it wont let you move the crosshairs to one of the explosions, thus not letting you posses a ship. Then, instead of just reviving you, the screen just starts shaking, and im forced to reload the page if i want to keep playing. Happened often enough that I thought it was worth mentioning
Also, not sure if this is a bug or not, but the lives system let me go into negative lives, got -16 lives in one level before i completed it. I presume this wasnt on purpose though, so maybe try to fix that.
Other than the bugs though, it was a good game! Kept me entertained, and had a nice back story too.

mr-johnson22 responds:

Oh yeah, those are definitely glitches. I didn't give myself nearly enough time for testing! Thanks for pointing them out. The game should be less buggy now (but more fixes will be on the way).

Glad you enjoyed the game!

Hold on a sec...

i thought you couldnt kill the cobossus using normal means, like shooting, i thought you could only kill him by burning the rope! i should know, i tried throwing axes at him for like 10 min...
Anyways, a nice little vertical shooter. kept me rather entertained.

Gama11 responds:

Thx, I'm happy you enjoyed playing it.

Ha, nice indeed

it was quite funny in my opinion, apparently fat people dont die when crushed. all in all, a well made game for the restrictions and limitations you had

thinking-man responds:

Thanks. At first we thought this was one of the worst handicaps, but then we figured out a way to use it to our advantage.

Burning giraffes blasting paper planes

It was pretty good for the time limit it was made in. Everything that ive thought of that could be better though has been listed in other reviews, so i wont say much. What i will say though is the first boss having a 1-shot kill is a tad too much. I think maybe not having other paper planes fly by while the boss fight is happening would make it a little easier, even with the 1-shot kill. Otherwise youre too focused on killing the smaller planes while still trying to kill the boss, which makes it too much. Other than that though, it was nicely done.

thinking-man responds:

It's supposed to be really hard...

santa is coming, really soon

hit boxes are slightly off, but otherwise its ok. maybe put a little more effort into the art or something, maybe have clouds in the background, idk, just next time try spiffing it up a little more

thinking-man responds:

Will do!
